Various tests may need to be carried out on your vehicle to correctly identify the source(s) of a problem(s) and prescribe practical solutions.

AutoClinic has a collection of testing services for vehicle subsystems as listed below.

Brake Fluid Test: testing for water content in the brake fluid, as they are hygroscopic, and water causes damage to the brake system.

Coolant Test: This is to test the coolant as its potency becomes diminished over time, leading to loss of protection for the engine cooling system which could damage components and cause overheating.

Coolant Pressure Test: Pressure is applied using a specialised tool to the radiator to check for leaks in the system that causes over-heating.

Cylinder Block /Gasket/ Head Test: A professional tool is used to measure the volume of combustion gases escaping into the cooling system, causing overheating. This suggests that the integrity of the cylinder is compromised.

Battery Drain Test: A test used to identify the presence of a parasitic drain on the battery, causing it to lose charge while the vehicle is parked.

Starting/Charging and Battery Test: With the use of a specialised tool, the condition of the charging system and capacity of the battery is determined.

Engine Compression Test: This is used to measure the output of each cylinder on the engine and benchmarked against manufacturer specifications. Loss of compression could lead to problems like increased fuel consumption and loss of power.

Engine Oil Pressure Test: Used to test the efficacy of the engine oil pump.

Engine Leak down Test: A professional tool is used to apply compressed air pressure into the engine to test for possible leaks, indicating combustion compromised that could lead to engine failure.

Fuel Pressure Test:  A pressure test kit is used to determine if the pressure of the fuel pump is within manufacturer specifications.

Non-Invasive Injector Service: Clogged up or dirty fuel injector nozzles could lead to total engine failure. Our non-invasive method, which uses a specialised tool to carry out this service, ensures that the fuel injection system is thoroughly clean, with no risk of damage to any part, and at a reasonable cost within a very short period.
